Owner-occupied single- or multi-family homes in BTU territory with electric central heat and air can get 10–25% of project cost back for attic or exterior wall insulation, ENERGY STAR whole-window replacement, or solar screens. Fiscal year runs October 1–September 30. Mobile homes, additions, and RVs do not qualify.
BTU SmartHOMERun the planning audit with utility set to Bryan, then look at attic R-value. SmartHOME often needs existing attic insulation at R-20 or less. Solar screens are usually the cheapest qualifying measure in this climate.
